The death of Osama bin Laden New York Times- May 2, 2011
Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan two weeks ago. He was the lider of Al Qaeda (it means "the bases" in Arabic) and he became a national enemy to United Satates because of both attacks on Sept. 11, 2001; on Pantagon and World Trade Center.
It was six days after that, when the president George W. Bush was asked to answer if he wanted bin Laden dead. He answered "I want him - I want justice" but he also wanted to recall a poster that said 'WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE'.
It took nearly a decade before that quest finally ended in Pakistan with the death of Bin Laden in a firefight with American forces who attacked a compound where officials said he had been hiding.
Nearly after the new was anounced by Barack Obama. During his speech he said two main ideas: "the world is safer now" and "we brought him to justice".
Is it true? Is the world safer now? Have we brought him to justice?
